I have wanted to become a journalist for as long as I can remember.
In middle school, I helped create our school yearbook and did the school news, and in high school, I fought to create our first school newspaper.
The ability to discover and tell the numerous stories that comprise our world is what drew me to journalism. My enthusiasm for this dynamic and constantly changing field is fueled by the excitement of giving voice to the unheard while developing an array of narratives.
Away from the realm of writing, you’ll often find me on the volleyball court, a treasured sanctuary nurtured over a decade. Reading is both a hobby and stress reliever, whether unwinding with a book or seeking relief in life’s chaos.
Looking beyond college, my love of narrative is inextricably linked to my desire for continuous inquiry through reading and travel.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Campus Life.
UNC has held a significant place in my life since childhood. My parents instilled in me a deep appreciation for UNC, making it more than just a college team we rooted for, but a cherished part of our family narrative.

I’m a dual major student in Media and Journalism as well as Political Science. My focus is on communication, storytelling, media dynamics, and exploring the relationship between media and politics. This journey is a dynamic exploration of how these fields intersect and contribute to my understanding of the world.
I’m involved in the Black Student Movement, Black Ink Magazine, and the NC Fellows program. These experiences have broadened my perspective and helped me grow personally and academically. The Black Student Movement has been instrumental in shaping my college journey by providing a transformative, safe space where my voice is valued. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to impactful organizations that empower me within the university community.

And of course, I’m not a UNC student without the many hours I spend studying.
Here’s my resume 🙂
